Peace of Mind June Launch

The response to our PoM launch at Rugby Park Kilmarnock on the 17th June 2015 has been fantastic and we look forward to meeting with a broad range of public and private sectors.

Our sponsor Premier Care will also be introducing a new unique Peace of Mind insurance policy specific to this innovative service.

Both PoM and the self direct support insurance indemnity cover are first of their kind in the U.K. and are only available through the project.

Stop Press: 3 years funding for Peace of Mind

Awards for All and Scottish Government are supporting this much needed service. We welcome discussing with like minded organisations contact jim@respitenow.org.uk

Respite Now cic in collaboration with SPAEN has been working to develop a new tailored provision namely a small hours hub service called Peace of Mind.  The catalyst for this new venture is due to the new self direct support legislation and the historic difficulties where small hour support and continuity of quality staffing has been evident over a number of years.   However, the motivation and rationale behind the small hours hub – self support inclusion service is much wider than just the creation on a new partnership approach to a new service provision.

Sharing a wider vision and purpose to increase and extend services in response to the need of tailored services including: management, staff training, health & safety awareness, insurance, financial inclusion and employability as examples to meet disadvantaged people’s needs both in relation to support and delivery of `small hours` self-directed support packages and to assist people who have aspirations to gain access to meaningful employment and training opportunities. This provides a one-stop-shop of critical services, expert advice and support that ensures the individual daily needs and quality of life are met.
